Blog Post #2 2016!

As I promised, here is blog two for this week. I mentioned album releases in the last post. That is the case. In fact, there will be three. You read that correctly - 1, 2, 3 releases! (That reads like the Count from Sesame Street.) Anyway, as we progress in the upcoming weeks, I will be unveiling the album covers, titles and dates of release. I’m aware that it’s a lot of music to unleash on people at one time, but that’s just how it worked out. Trust me, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

I also mentioned a music video in the last post. I’ve been sitting on that for a while now. I was fortunate enough to work with a talented artist from Hungary on this video. There is some tweaking left to do on it, but it will debut prior to the release of one album in particular.

After my last post, I was notified by Number One Music (N1M) of my current chart positions. I’m always happy to share those result with everyone. Not to pat myself on the back, but to thank everyone for their continued support. I couldn’t be happier that the tracks that have been released have connected with so many people around the globe. I am always touched to receive everyone’s email and messages. It is never taken for granted when someone takes time out of their busy lives to write me a personal letter. I always try to respond as quickly as I can. I have brought someone on to help manage my social media presence. It is, as we all know, a big part of keeping you all up to date on what’s going on. I will still read and respond to your messages personally. This frees me up to work on what is the basis of all this and that is the music and making sure that the music and live shows meet my exacting standards; hence, me releasing three albums at one time. It’s not ready until I say it is. The gaps between releases in the future will not be anything as long as the previous one has. So, it takes the weight off me to delegate some of these things to people that are as passionate as I am to make sure that you are engaged in the process as much as possible. So many great things coming and can’t wait to share them with you.
Latest Chart Results from N1M as of Thursday.

Next week’s blog will include a video post. Wishing everyone a happy and relaxing weekend.

New Blog Post 2016!

Damn it got dusty around here!

Okay, it has been a long time since I've updated this blog or my website. With the upcoming releases, they both will be receiving a new coat of paint and moving up on my priority list. Yes, you read that correctly: releases plural. There will be a lot of new release information, shows and, yes, even a music video. Ooh tantalizing right? Maybe....maybe not. Perhaps you just want to understand what the hell it is that I do. Well, that is the real purpose of this whole thing. It's going to be a lot of different things and I hope you'll check it out. My intention is at least one new blog a week. It will include some video as I work and some for just general entertainment. Plus some music gear geek out and maybe a heads up on music I’m listening to that you might dig. There will also be bass guitar oriented blogs as well. We’ll just see how this whole thing develops.

This is my little music soapbox and Facebook is not really the place for long form posts. Most people want to quickly catch up, hit like, or make a quick comment and move on with their lives. I've also noticed that a picture will receive more attention than a link to a video. That video is a commitment of time that people weren't prepared to give you when all they want to do is quickly open Facebook. Likewise, Twitter isn't really a place to discuss anything at length. I find 140 characters is somewhat constricting. Let's face it, we are being conditioned to have the attention span of goldfish, and that's being generous.
Enjoy this NEW self portrait

This blog is a way for me to use the long form art of writing. I think I can do a better job of keeping you up to date and babble a little bit. I'll try to keep it tight and concise, but I'm not very good at composing short songs either.
Anyway, I'm glad you stopped by and for those who didn't, you suck. (You'll have to get use to my dry sense of humor.) I hope I can put that across in my writing. My hope is to share my thoughts a little bit. This will not be the only post this week...it will be a double header week! I will be posting links on the social media sites mentioned above to let you know when I have dropped one of my pearls of wisdom on you. Until next time...
